Inyaface (2012)
Though the vinyl on Fat Wreck doesn't come out until January, in Japan you can buy the new Snuff album on CD with different artwork right now (also qualifying it for top 10 lists at the end of the year). It was a little expensive to import and it is a CD, but I have a very extensive collection of Japanese Snuff CDs that I need to keep adding on to.
5-4-3-2-1-Perhaps? is such a fantastic record. As Snuff hadn't been heard from in a while, it would have been easy to write them off, but this album absolutely refuses to let you do that. This is probably their best record since Tweet Tweet My Lovely and really rivals that record as well. There are scores of incredible songs on this record. Catchy upbeat pop like "In The Stocks," bouncy hammond drenched throwback tunes like "EFL" and a couple of obligatory loud fast screamy hardcore songs. If I have 1 complaint, it's that I just wish there was even more, but that's really just me being greedy.
I can't wait for this to show up on vinyl in the new year, but for now, I'm thrilled to have the CD and have the opportunity to listen to one of the greatest bands to ever walk the planet get back together and prove they're still one of the best.
