I had threatened this a few days ago, that I may occasionally post a collection of mine rather than my usual 1 record as I buy it (I do post these pictures as I buy new & old stuff, I'm not just grabbing records I've had for a while off the shelf to take pictures of). And especially since January is a little slow for new releases, I figured now was as good a time as any. I may take pictures of all of the 7"s I have of a band or all of the full lengths or maybe just everything. In this case I decided to start off with my Archers of Loaf 7"s.
Archers of Loaf are such an amazing band, though the 1st time I heard them I wasn't impressed. I couldn't tell you what song of theirs it was, but I initially heard the band on some compilation my friend Pat had. Fast forward a bit and another friend of mine insisted I check out Icky Mettle and there you had it. I was hooked, destined to be buying their records for the foreseeable future. I will say the post Vee Vee releases never did it for me as much as their earlier records, but I'm nothing if not loyal.
